TAMPA (February 28, 2024) – The USF women's sailing team will travel to the Phoebe Corcoran King regatta hosted by the College of Charleston this weekend on March 2-3.
This event will be another team racing event and will feature: seniors Emma Shakespeare and Hannah Marsicano, juniors Kay Brunsvold, Kalea Woodard, Heidi Hicks, and Janie Powell, sophomore Madisen Hamai, and freshmen Kailey Warrior.
This second competition of the season is shaping up to be another excellent test, as top-ranked teams No. 3 Stanford University and No. 13 Tulane will be competing, as well as USF's conference rivals College of Charleston and Jacksonville University. The strong current at the confluence of the Cooper and Ashley rivers always proves challenging, especially in the light winds forecast for the weekend. A competitive weekend is on deck in Charleston for the USF Bulls.
