USF Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

The Bulls begin the new season on Friday, August 30 at UCF.
Tampa, Fla. July 22, 2024ย โ The University of South Florida men's and women's cross country teams schedule has been announced and will consist of four regular season meets ahead of post-season competition.

The Bulls will open their 2024 season at UCF on Friday, August 30 in Orlando, Fla. It will be the only night race of the season for the Bulls, with a 6:30 p.m. start time.

The Bulls' only out-of-state regular-season meet will follow, as the teams head to Huntsville, Ala. for the Southern Showcase on Friday, September 13. This meet at John Hunt Park will take place at 7:30 a.m..

The Bulls will then travel to Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday, September 26 for the FSU Pre-Regional at Apalachee Regional Park. This meet will begin at 7:40 a.m.

The Bulls will then travel right back up to Tallahassee two weeks later on Friday, October 11 for the FSU XC Invite. This meet will begin at 7:40 a.m.

That brings the Bulls' schedule to the postseason. The AAC Championships will be held in Wichita, Kansas on Friday, November 2. Wichita State will be hosting and starting the meet at 9:15 a.m.

The NCAA South Regional will follow and is set for Friday, November 15, back at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. It will be the Bulls' third meet of the season there and is set to begin at 8:30 a.m..

The NCAA Championship will be held at Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday, November 23.

The USFย Cross Countryย team has earnedย 2ย All-America selections,ย Christina Benton in 2002 and Grayย Mavheraย in 1994.ย The Bulls have advanced to the NCAA Cross Country Championships seven times in program history, three times for the men and four times for the women.ย The USF men's teams have won seven team conference championships and the women have won five team championships. Director of Track & Field and Cross Countryย Erik Jenkinsย took over the program inย 2019 andย during his tenureย the Bulls postedย twelveย program records andย 106ย top 10ย all-time program marks. USF hosted theย 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary and the 2021 AAC Outdoor Championship at the USF Track and Field Stadium, as well as the 2022 AAC Country Cross Country Championship at Holloway Park.ย
