TAMPA, FLA., DEC. 3, 2025 – South Florida Football announced the addition of 17 new Bulls in a 2026 Signing Class that was ranked among the top three in the American Conference for the third straight year as the NCAA Early Signing Period began Wednesday.

Despite going through a coaching transition – Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline was named the Bulls seventh head football coach on Wednesday – USF's signing class stood ranked among the best among all programs outside the autonomous four conferences by 247Sports for the third straight year. As of late afternoon on Wednesday, 247Sports ranked the Bulls class third in The American while Rivals had it fourth. The Bulls class of 2024 also led the American while the 2025 class ranked No. 2 in the conference.

The early signing period runs through Dec. 5. The NCAA transfer portal, from which the Bulls are expected to add several players, opens Jan. 2-16.

In the Class of 2026, the Bulls added players from six states. Twelve signees hail from the state of Florida – including five from the Bay area – and one each came from Georgia, Maryland, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee.

On offense, USF added four players, including a pair of 6-3 receivers in Gabe Legrand (Lake Wales) and Dmari Roberts (St. Petersburg). The Bulls also added running back Jayson Franklin (Fayetteville, N.C.), who ran for more than 4,400 yards and 49 touchdowns, and offensive lineman Jordan Harrison (Clinton, Md.)

On defense, USF added 12 players, including six in the secondary. Cornerbacks Keyshaun Birks (St. Petersburg), Masiyah Limehouse (Plant City), Derrick Nichols (Miami) and Ja'Kyri Watson (Kissimmee) where joined by safeties CJ Cresser Jr. (Brooksville) and Amari Jones (Dunnellon). USF also added four new Bulls along the defensive line in Iverson Garcia-Ponce (Knoxville, Tenn.), Demetrius Geathers Jr. (Deerfield, Fla.), Sager Quinn (Cahutta, Ga.) and Peter Ramil (Binghamton, N.Y.), as well as two linebackers in Lorenzo Barnes (Marianna) and Dennis King III (Daytona Beach).

On special teams, South Florida continued a strong family legacy of kickers when it welcomed Gaston Gramatica (Tampa), the younger brother of current Bulls' kicker Nico Gramatica and son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers All-Pro and Super Bowl Champion Martin Gramatica. Gaston and Nico's uncles, Santiago and Bill, were also standout kickers for the Bulls.
