TAMPA (March 21) – The No. 25 University of South Florida Men's Tennis team (16-3) take down Tulane (5-10) on Senior Day at home. The Bulls are on a seven-game win streak as they prepare for their last four away matches of the season.
The Bulls dominated on both doubles and singles court against the Green Wave.
Hugo Car and
Ettore Danesi finished first on Court 1 with a 6-2 win.
Ben Hudson and
Toto Llanes clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 triumph on Court 2.
For singles, Llanes swiftly finished first with a 6-1, 6-0 win on Court 6. Danesi followed with a quick 6-2, 6-0 victory on Court 5.
Agustin Cuellar followed on Court 2 with a 6-3, 6-1 clinching win on Court 2.
Gughi Verdese battled for a 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 victory on Court 4.
Elijah Cham added some cushion with a 6-3, 6-3 win on Court 3. Finally, the match wrapped up with a 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 tiebreak win delivered by No. 48 Car on Court 1.
Car, on a 14 match win streak, is now 14-1 in singles. Cuellar remains undefeated in singles play with a record of 14-0. Verdese is 14-4 and is on a eight match win streak.

UP NEXT
The Bulls will return to play next weekend with an away match against Charlotte (8-7). South Florida has only faced the 49ers twice in program history, taking the victory on both matches. The Bulls last match-up was last year where they recorded a 6-1 win at home.

He was named the American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2017 & 2019 after leading USF to the conference title in each of those seasons.
