TAMPA, AUG. 20, 2025 – University of South Florida Athletics gave fans more to be excited about Wednesday when the Bulls debuted the first video look at USF's new on-campus stadium at the football team's sold-out Kickoff Luncheon in downtown Tampa.
 
The annual luncheon, featuring Head Coach Alex Golesh and the 2025 team, featured a sold-out crowd of more than 600 for the second straight year. The Bulls kickoff the season on Thursday, Aug. 28 vs. No. 25 Boise State in Raymond James Stadium in a nationally televised 5:30 p.m. kick on ESPN.
 
Fans at the luncheon were treated to a fly-through video of what the new stadium and game day experience will look like when the stadium opens in the 2027 season.  The video features views of the tailgating experience around the stadium, an exclusive student section, premium suites and club areas, and a rooftop lounge that will make the USF game day experience exciting and unique.  
 
Ground was broken on the $349-million stadium and operations center last fall, and construction has been progressing just feet from the Bulls' practice fields as the team prepares for the 2025 season.

About USF Athletics
USF Athletics sponsors 21 varsity teams, with 20 competing at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference, including the recent additions of women's lacrosse and women's beach volleyball. The Bulls' athletic program, founded in 1965, will enter its 60^thseason in 2025-26.
     Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the Tampa General Hospital Athletics District on the east end of USF's Tampa campus. The Bulls have won 154 conference titles across 16 sports, with 82 men's championships and 72 women's championships. Men's tennis and men's soccer lead with 20 titles each, while women's programs have been headlined by women's tennis (14) and volleyball (13). Since joining the American Athletic Conference in 2013, USF has secured 36 conference team titles.
      Academically, USF student-athletes have achieved a program record of 21 consecutive semesters with a combined GPA of 3.0 or above as of spring 2025. Since 2015, more than 800 Bulls have earned their degrees.
