August 05, 2025

TAMPA, Fla., August 5, 2025 – The University of South Florida men's golf program has earned the Presidents Special Recognition Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), as announced Tuesday by the organization. The honor recognizes programs that achieved a team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year.

USF was one of 74 NCAA Division I programs to earn the Presidents Special Recognition, and one of only seven teams to also make the NCAA Championship while earning this honor.

The academic accolade is part of the 2024-25 Platform Golf Team Academic Awards, which saw a record 292 teams across six collegiate divisions honored for academic excellence. The GCAA's annual recognition highlights the commitment of student-athletes to success in the classroom as well as on the course.
