TAMPA, Fla. (January 22, 2026) – USF women's tennis returns to the courts this weekend at the Tampa Cup, hosted by Hillsborough Community College, with three days of competition scheduled for Friday through Sunday.
The Bulls enter the weekend after a challenging slate against Power 4 opponents Florida State and UCF. Against Florida State, USF showed resilience across the lineup, highlighted by a doubles win from Amelie Drukerova and Charlotte Ruud, as well as a clutch singles victory from Francesca Miglio. Several singles matches were pushed to deciding sets, including a three-set battle at the top of the lineup. USF carried that momentum into Sunday's matchup with UCF, opening the day by securing the doubles point behind wins on courts one and three, while multiple singles matches remained tightly contested before being halted.
This weekend's Tampa Cup will feature a hidden dual format, with singles matches played against one opponent and doubles matches played against another, and results not impacting an overall team score.
USF is set to face Hillsborough Community College and St. Petersburg College over the three-day event, providing the Bulls an opportunity to continue building confidence and gain valuable match experience as the spring season progresses.
Competition begins Friday and runs through Sunday at Hillsborough Community College.
