The Bulls gain experience with Annapolis sailing conditions ahead of spring 2027 national championships
TAMPA, Fla. (October 23, 2026) – The South Florida Sailing team opened and closed the ACC Tournament at the Naval Academy with race wins last weekend in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Bulls competed against a strong field in Annapolis, where the National Fleet and Team Race Championships will be held in the spring of 2027. The team faced challenging conditions, including significant wind shifts and changing wind speeds throughout the weekend.
The Bulls used this regatta to gain experience with the conditions at the venue ahead of the 2027 national championships.
"Sailing at Navy gave us a great opportunity to scope out the venue of nationals. The conditions were tricky, but that made for some fun racing overall," Esme Pray said.
Up Next:
The Bulls travel to Charleston next Thursday to compete at the SAISA Fall Championship, hosted by the College of Charleston on October 30-31. The team will face top competitors from across the conference as it looks to finish the fall season strong.
