TAMPA, Fla., February 11, 2026 — South Florida women's tennis earned its first home win of the season Wednesday afternoon, defeating Stetson, 5-2, at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.

The Bulls secured the doubles point and carried that momentum into singles play, winning four courts to take control of the match in front of the home crowd.

USF struck first in doubles action with victories on courts two and three. Josefine Falster and Charlotte Ruud delivered a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles, while Francesca Miglio and Melisa Senli followed with a 6-3 victory on court three to clinch the point. The No. 1 doubles match featuring Sienna Leeson and Margherita Marcon went unfinished.

In singles, the Bulls earned three straight-set wins to put themselves in position to close out the match. Sienna Leeson was dominant at No. 2 singles, earning a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Amelie Drukerova followed with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6. At the top spot, Melisa Senli battled to a 6-2, 6-4 win over the Hatters — clinching the team victory and sealing South Florida's first home triumph of the season.

With the match decided, Margherita Marcon continued play on court three and earned a hard-fought three-set win. After taking the opening set 6-2, Marcon dropped the second before responding in the deciding super tiebreak to secure the 10-7 victory.

Stetson claimed points at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.

The Bulls will look to build on the momentum from their first home win as they continue play at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
