USF Women's Tennis Makes it Two Straight Sweeps, Beating UTSA 4-0

February 21, 2026

South Florida Bulls Women's Tennis opened conference play in dominant fashion, sweeping the UTSA Roadrunners for USF's second shutout of the season.

The Bulls locked in early by claiming the doubles point. Margherita Marcon and Sienna Leeson set the tone with a 6-0 victory, and Amelie Drukerova and Josefine Falster followed with a 6-3 win to secure the advantage. Francesca Miglio and Melisa Senli were leading 4-2 when play went unfinished.

In singles, USF continued to roll. Drukerova was first off the court with a strong 6-1, 6-4 win on court 6, giving the Bulls early momentum. Sienna Leeson then followed with a decisive 6-3, 6-1 performance, and Margherita Marcon sealed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-3 victory.

The remaining courts were trending in USF's favor when matches were halted. Senli captured a tight first set 7-6(1), Miglio led 7-5, 4-2, and Falster was ahead 6-3, 4-3.

With back-to-back sweeps and conference play off to a strong start, the Bulls now turn their attention to Tulane Green Wave, for a 1pm Eastern matchup tomorrow as they look to keep the momentum going.
