USF Women’s Golf is Competing at the 2026 Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate

South Florida Women’s Golf Set for Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate

TAMPA, Fla. – February 22, 2026- The University of South Florida women's golf team traveled to Jacksonville to compete in the 2026 Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate, hosted by the University of North Florida at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club. 

Tiphani Knight, Cherry Marley, Regina Plascencia, Alice Webb, and Emma Kim will represent the Bulls in team competition, while Matylda Krawczynska is planned to compete as an individual.

The 54-hole stroke play tournament will be contested over 6,348 yards at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club. South Florida will face a competitive field that includes Tulsa, South Alabama, Augusta, Miami, Old Dominion, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, North Florida, Campbell, Sam Houston, and No. 29 Oklahoma State.

Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her second season as head coach of USF women's golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season. 

Newell took over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
