GREENSBORO, Ga. (March 22, 2026) – Jackson Spybey posted a record-breaking final round, shooting 9-under 63, as the South Florida men's golf team finished tied for fourth (-16) at the Linger Longer Invitational this weekend at the Great Waters Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
Spybey's final round score tied Albin Bergstrom's 9-under 63 score in the first round of the Quail Valley Intercollegiate during the 2019-20 season.
The Bulls finished the tournament at 16-under 848, their lowest 54-hole score of the season. USF also shot 14-under in the final round, marking its lowest round score of the season.
South Florida tied No. 18 Charlotte at 16-under and finished ahead of No. 44 Kentucky.
Wilhelm Ryding led the Bulls with a fifth-place finish at 8-under 208, including a 5-under 67 in the final round. He defeated the No. 10 player in the country, Wells Williams from Vanderbilt. Ryding recorded his fourth top-10 finish of the season.
Spybey finished tied for 13
th place at 5-under 211, earning his fifth top-25 finish of the season.
Joshua Stewart recorded three rounds under par, finishing tied for 13
th place at 5-under 211. He posted his best individual finish and 54-hole score of the season.
Roman Solomon carded a 1-under 71 in the second round but finished in 77
th place overall at 8-over 224.
Nino Palmquist finished 79
th at 9-over 225, and
Gunnar Green competed as an individual, shooting 6-over 222 to place 71
st.
No. 35 Georgia dominated to win the tournament by 21 strokes, shooting 48-under 816. Georgia's Carter Loflin claimed the individual title at 18-under 198.
