Bulls Battle to the Wire on Senior Day Against Brown

South Florida welcomed Brown to the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon, opening the match with a Senior Day ceremony honoring Melisa Senli and Dharani Niroshan. The pair were recognized pregame with a ceremony that featured video messages from family members, teammates, and coaches. They were presented with flowers along with a signed photo from the team and coaching staff in celebration of their careers.

The match began with doubles play, where the Bulls struck first on court one. Sienna Leeson and Margherita Marcon secured a 6–3 win to give South Florida early momentum. Brown answered on courts two and three to claim the doubles point, with Dharani Niroshan and her partner battling closely on court three in a 7–5 result, showcasing strong play despite the loss.

In singles, Melisa Senli delivered a dominant performance on court one and was first off, cruising to a 6–0, 6–1 victory to quickly even the overall score. Shortly after, Sienna Leeson followed with a commanding 6–3, 6–2 win on court two, putting the Bulls ahead.

Brown responded with a straight-set win on court five to level the match before a tightly contested three-set battle on court three saw Margherita Marcon fall just short after taking the first set. The Bears then gained the advantage with another three-set win on court four.

The final match on court six came down to a deciding super tiebreak, where Amelie Drukerova fought hard but was edged out 10–8, sealing a 4–3 victory for Brown.

Despite the narrow result, the Bulls were highlighted by Senli's dominant singles win and a strong doubles showing from Niroshan, capping off a meaningful Senior Day for both players.
