The University of South Florida Women's Tennis team hits the road this weekend for a pair of matchups, traveling to face Wichita State on Friday before continuing on to SMU on Sunday to close out the trip.
USF opens the weekend against No. 25 Wichita State on Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m. ET in Wichita, Kansas. The Bulls hold a 3-1 all-time advantage in the series, though the Shockers claimed the most recent meeting last season. Wichita State enters the matchup in strong form, ranked nationally and riding a lengthy winning streak while remaining undefeated at home this season, presenting a tough test for the Bulls on the road.
The road swing continues on Sunday, March 29, as USF faces No. 31 SMU at 10:30 a.m. ET in Dallas. The Bulls lead the all-time series 8-6, but the Mustangs have had the upper hand recently, including a win in last year's matchup and four consecutive victories over USF. SMU enters the weekend as a nationally ranked program competing in a deep ACC slate, bringing another high-level challenge for the Bulls.
USF looks to bounce back after a loss to Brown earlier this week, using the final stretch of the regular season as an opportunity to build momentum heading into postseason play. With conference matches becoming increasingly critical, the Bulls will aim to respond on the road and strengthen their position in the American standings.
Following this weekend's matches, USF will continue conference play with additional road contests before turning its focus to the American Athletic Conference Championship in mid-April.
