HOUSTON, Texas (April 17, 2026) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team fought hard but came up short against Tulsa, falling 4-2 on Friday morning at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
The Golden Hurricane claimed the early advantage by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. South Florida showed resilience at No. 2 doubles, where the tandem of Amelie Drukerova and Josefine Falster had their match left unfinished with the score even at 5-5.
In singles play, the Bulls responded with strong performances on the lower courts. Josefine Falster put USF on the board with a dominant 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles, while Francesca Miglio followed with a gritty straight-sets win at No. 6 to even the match at 2-2.
Tulsa regained control with wins on courts two, three and five to clinch the match. Despite the final result, USF showed competitiveness throughout the lineup, highlighted by key individual victories and tightly contested matches across multiple courts.
