USF Men’s Golf Competes at the American Conference Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. (April 26, 2026) – The USF men's golf team will compete at the American Conference Championship on April 27-29 at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club.
 
The tournament consists of three rounds, with 18 holes played each day. The Bulls will tee off at 9:25 a.m. on Monday from the first hole. The Ritz-Carlton Members Club is a par-72, 7,417-yard course.
 
The final round will be streamed live on ESPN+, with Sean Salisbury on the call.

Last Time Out
USF finished second out of 13 teams at the Wofford Invitational, matching its best team finish of the season. Three Bulls tied for fourth place out of 88 golfers, shooting 3-under 210. They finished ahead of four top 100 golfers in the nation, according to Clippd.
 
Previewing the Bulls
Wilhelm Ryding leads the Bulls with a 70.00 stroke average and ranks No. 57 in the NCAA men's individual rankings by Clippd. He leads the team with 12 rounds in the 60s and is tied for a team-high 21 rounds at par or better.
 
Ryding has earned the American Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week three times this season. He finished 14th (E) with two rounds at or below par at the Wofford Invitational.
 
Jackson Spybey is second on the team with a 70.51 stroke average and is tied with Ryding for a team-high 21 rounds at par or better. He has 11 rounds in the 60s this season, including a record-breaking final round at the Linger Longer Invitational with a 9-under 63 on March 22. Spybey finished tied for fourth at 3-under 210 at the Wofford Invitational.
 
Hugo Trommetter has a 72.14 stroke average with 11 rounds at par or better. He finished 32nd at the Wofford Invitational.
 
Joshua Stewart owns a 72.50 stroke average with 12 rounds at par or better.
 
Nino Palmquist is third on the team with a 71.93 stroke average with eight rounds in the 60s and 14 rounds at par or better. He won the Saint Leo Invitational with a season-best 14-under par 202 on Feb. 16-17. Palmquist placed 26th at the Wofford Invitational.
 
Roman Solomon (72.43) will serve as the substitute. He has four rounds in the 60s and nine rounds at par or better this season.
 
The Field
The 11-team field includes No. 22 Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Memphis, North Texas, Rice, Temple, UAB, UTSA, and Wichita State.

About USF Men's Golf
The USF men's golf program has captured 19 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had six individual conference champions, including Jake Peacock in both 2024 and 2025. They went to nine straight NCAA Regional appearances from 2013-2022, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015.
