South Florida Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

TAMPA, Fla. (July 27, 2026) โ University of South Florida Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Erik Jenkins has announced the team's cross country schedule, which features seven meets.

"We're excited to announce our 2026 women's and men's cross country schedule," said Jenkins. "The schedule will provide our team with the opportunity to compete against some of the best programs in the American Conference and the NCAA. We'll return to several familiar courses while also experiencing new venues that will challenge and prepare us throughout the season. We're looking to build on our team and individual performances from last season and continue making progress as we pursue our goals."

The Bulls will open the season on Sept. 4 at the Florida Intercollegiate XC Invitational, which is hosted by North Florida. From there, South Florida heads to Tallahassee, Fla. for the FSU XC Invite, which takes place Sept. 18. South Florida then concludes the regular season with meets at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic on Oct. 3 and the Crimson Classic, hosted at the University of Alabama, on Oct. 16.ย

The American Cross Country Championships will be held on Oct. 31 in New Orleans, hosted by Tulane.

Florida State will host the NCAA South Regional on Nov. 13. The NCAA Cross Country Championships are set for Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind., hosted by Indiana State.

The South Florida Cross Country team has earned two All-America selections, Christina Benton in 2002 and Gray Mavhera in 1994. The Bulls have advanced to the NCAA Cross Country Championships seven times in program history, three times for the men and four times for the women. The USF men's teams have won seven team conference championships, and the women have won five team championships. Director of Track & Field and Cross Countryย Erik Jenkinsย took over the program in 2019. USF hosted the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary and the 2021 and 2023 American Conference Outdoor Championship at the USF Track and Field Stadium, as well as the 2022 American Country Cross Country Championship at Holloway Park.ย
