South Florida Women’s Golf Announces Its 2026-27 Schedule

The Bulls will have a chance to earn exemptions to professional tournaments
TAMPA, Fla. (July 28, 2026) – Head Coach AJ Newell and the University of South Florida women's golf team announced the 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday.
South Florida opens 2026 on September 21-22 at the Beacon Hall Golf Club with the Canadian Collegiate Invitational. The event's winner will earn an exemption to the 2026 CPKC Women's Open. The top five finishers will receive an exemption into the 2026 Canadian Women's Amateur Championship.
Several Bulls will compete as individuals at the Eckerd Invitational at the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club on September 21-22.
South Florida has two tournaments in October. The first is the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate at the Cherokee Country Club on the 4-6. The Bulls end 2026 at the Landfall Invitational on the Landfall Dye Course on the 23-25.
South Florida opens 2027 in the Sunshine State at the PDI Intercollegiate at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando on February 1-3. The Bulls make a short trip to Gainesville for the Gator Invitational on March 6-7.
The Bulls leave the state for the first time in 2027 on March 15-16 for the Briars Creek Invitational at The Golf Club at Briars Creek. South Florida heads to Tallahassee for the FSU Matchup on March 20-21. The Bulls head to Bryan, Texas, on April 5-6 for the "Mo" Morial Invitational at Traditions Golf Club.
The postseason begins with the American Conference Championship, held April 19-21 at Southern Hills.

Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her third season as head coach of USF women's golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season.
Newell took over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
