South Florida Women’s Tennis Wraps Up First Weekend of Fall Competition

Josefine Falster and Sienna Leeson compete against four power-four programs in fall opener
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Sept. 14, 2026) – South Florida women's tennis opened their 2026 fall campaign at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, with Josefine Falster and Sienna Leeson representing the Bulls against a competitive field that included Colorado, Lipscomb University, Kansas State, North Carolina, University of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and the University of Illinois.
Friday, Sept. 11
Falster and Leeson opened the weekend competing in both singles and doubles competition. Leeson went 1-1 in singles, falling to Colorado before earning South Florida's first victory of the fall against Lipscomb's Mariia Dolzhenko taking the second set, 6-2, before securing the deciding tiebreak, 10-2.
Falster went 0-2 in singles, dropping matches to Wisconsin and Lipscomb.
In doubles, Falster and Leeson entered the main draw as the No. 4 seed and battled North Carolina but ultimately fell to the Tar Heels.
Saturday, Sept. 12
South Florida collected five victories across singles and doubles play on the second day of competition.
Falster went 2-0 in singles, beginning with a 7-6, 6-4 victory over Colorado. She followed with a straight-set win over Kansas State's Diana Smolinska, 6-2, 7-6.
Leeson added two singles victories of her own. After advancing by walkover against Colorado, she closed singles competition with a three-set victory over Illinois, taking the opening set, 6-2, and securing the deciding tiebreak, 10-3.
Falster and Leeson added their first doubles victory of the weekend with a 6-1 win over a Navy pairing. The duo also faced Colorado earlier in the day.
South Florida picked up three wins over Power Four opponents on day two of the tournament.
Sunday, Sept. 13
Falster and Leeson closed the Milwaukee Tennis Classic with their second consecutive doubles victory, defeating a Milwaukee pairing, 6-4, in the South Final.
The Bulls finished the weekend with seven combined victories, including five in singles and two in doubles. Falster finished singles play 2-2, while Leeson posted a 3-2 mark.

A former collegiate national champion and four-time All-American, Moros has established the Bulls as one of the premier programs in the region. She was named the 2017 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading South Florida to its first conference championship. Under Moros, 11 Bulls have earned All-AAC honors, including three AAC Freshman of the Year selections.
