Biography
Senior (2009-10): Played primarily in the No. 6 singles position for the Bulls ... Went 6-5 in dual match competition and 12-10 overall ... Helped the Bulls advance to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championships with her 6-3, 6-0 victory over Caitlin Baker ... Teamed up with freshman Ecaterina Vasenina early in the season in the No. 3 doubles position, and together the duo went 1-4 in dual match competition ... Went 28-24 in dual match competition and 36-26 overall in her three years with the Bulls.
Junior (2008-09): Put together an 11-10 record in dual matches and a 13-7 overall record...Her 13 wins were tied for third most on the team...Her 11 dual match wins were tied for second most on the team...Switched singles positions throughout the season, playing predominately in the No. 5 singles position...Went 9-4 when playing in the No. 5 position...First singles win of the season came in the Gator Fall Classic against Joanna Mather of the University of Florida (9/20/08)...Won three straight singles matches from 1/18/09 to 1/25/09...Played her doubles matches in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions... Jessica Zok, Jessica Sweeting and Lauren Shumate were her doubles partners over the course of the season...Zok and Mueller won four straight doubles matches together from 3/15/09 to 3/22/09.
Sophomore (2007-08): Held down the No. 3 and 4 positions and finished the season with an overall dual-match record of 11-9. .. Four of her nine losses were to ranked opponents which includes No. 10 Kristi Miller of Georgia Tech and No. 39 Yvette Hyndman of Georgia..... Battled back after dropping the first set, 6-0, to Louisville’s Bianca Gorbea and win the final two sets, 6-3,7-5, to gain crucial match points in the BIG EAST Semifinals.... Compiled a six match winning streak between 2/27/08 and 3/30/08... Compiled a 4-10 record in doubles competition while playing in the No.1 or No.2 slot.
Freshman (2006-07, Ohio State): 6-3 in singles in fall tournament play and reached semifinals at the Baylor and Hokie Invitational in Flight B ... Went 3-1 at the Baylor Tournament, 4-4 in doubles during the fall while playing with Cami Hubbs ... Duo reached Round of 32 at ITA Midwest Regional, along with semis at Baylor and Virginia Tech ... Played in all 28 spring matches for the Buckeyes ... 21 overall singles wins and 15 dual victories were both third on the team ... Saw most action at No. 2 spot going 5-5 ... 15-12 in dual matches, with 5-5 mark in Big Ten play ... Third on squad in dual-match victories ... Had 14 doubles wins ... First collegiate win came during her first singles match at the Princeton Invitational against Katrine Fisher of Buffalo Sept. 15 ... Won six of first seven collegiate matches.
Juniors: While attending Blessed Trinity High School, she earned Most Valuable Player honors in 2003-04, played the No.1 position, and led the squad to the Georgia state championship in the same season ... Began playing at the John Newcombe Tennis Academy in New Braunfels, Texas, in January 2005 ... In November 2005, she received the Sportsmanship Award at the National Gateway Tournament, where she placed fourth... Was ranked as high as No. 2 in the state of Georgia and No. 56 nationally ... Graduated from New Braunfels High School.
Personal: Born on February 18, 1988 ... The daughter of Glenn and Sandy Mueller ... She has a 16-year-old brother named Davis. Allyn’s mother was a professional ballerina, and works at Saddlebrook Resort as a tennis instructor in the summer ... Enjoys singing in the shower, dancing to techno and cooking for Christmas. Her most exciting sports moment was beating Wichita State in 2007.
