AAC All-Academic Team (2013)
2013: The former walk-on earned a scholarship for a his final campaign…started all 12 games at cornerback…finished sixth on the team with 37 tackles and added one TFL and three pass break-ups…posted a career-best five tackles vs. No. 15 Miami…logged four tackles in victory over Cincinnati…tied a career high with five tackles vs. SMU…had four tackles at No. 17 UCF…recorded four solo stops in his first career state in the season-opener vs. McNeese State…earned the Jim & Laurie Ragsdale Outstanding Walk-On Award…finished his career playing in 19 games, with 12 starts, and tallying 39 tackles, one TFL and four pass break-ups...earned AAC All-Academic team honors...earned his degree in December.
2012: Did not participate with the football program.
2011: Saw action in five games at defensive back and on special teams ... posted two tackles and one PBU.
2010: Joined the team as a walk-on during spring ball ... saw action in two games, against Stony Brook and Florida Atlantic.
OAK RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner in football and four-year letterwinner in track and field ... posted 40 solo tackles and four forced fumbles as a junior ... had 35 solo tackles, six pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles as a senior ... won the Heart/Hustle Award in 2009 for his varsity football team ... won the 2008 GPA Award for having the highest GPA on the varsity football team ... member of the 2008 All-Metro Track Team in the 300 hurdles ... team captain in 2009 of both the football and track and field teams at Oak Ridge ... was the district and regional runner-up in the 110 and 300 hurdles ... also competed in the long and triple jumps and the 4x400 relay ... member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll as well as the Principal's and Dean's List.
