Collegiate Career

One of college basketball’s premier point guards as a senior in 1995-96… Lettered in 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 as USF moved into Conference USA toward the end of his career (1995 was the Metro Conference’s final season)… Averaged a career-high 19.3 points as a senior, the highest scoring average by a Bull in 11 seasons (since Charlie Bradley averaged 21.7 ppg as a senior in 1984-85)… Became the second USF player to have his jersey number retired; number was retired Feb. 10, 2001… Ended his career as USF’s third all-time leading scorer with 1,619 points… A four-year starter who missed just two starts (due to a sprained ankle his sophomore season) while playing in 111 career games… Tied the program’s single-season assist record with 196 as a junior in 1994-95; assist total is now tied at No. 2 (Arthur Caldwell, 196, 1986-87) as Reggie Kohn recorded 220 assists in 2001-02… Led the Metro Conference with 6.5 assists-per-game in 1994-95… His 519 career assists ranked No. 2 on USF’s all-time career list following his senior season; the figure is now No. 3 (behind Kohn’s 632, 2000-03 and Radenko Dobras’s 534, 1989-92)… Also USF’s career 3-point leader with 244 (in 674 attempts) when his career ended; now No. 2 on the list behind Kohn’s 252 (2000-03)… Still No. 1 on the 3-pointers attempted with 674… Led the Metro in 3-point shooting with 84 (219 attempts, 38.4 percent) as a junior in 1994-95, the same year he led the league in assists… Finished second among Metro scoring leaders that season with a 16.8 point-per-game average, falling one-half point shy of becoming only the second player in Metro history to lead the league in scoring and assists in the same season… Became the 11th USF player to score 1,000 points and just the fourth to do so prior to his senior season… Career averages include 14.6 points and 4.7 assists-per-game… One of two Bulls to score 1,600 points and dish out 500 assists in a career (also Radenko Dobras)… Played one season in Conference USA and earned All-C-USA second-team honors in 1995-96… Also named to the All-Metro second team in 1994-95 after collecting Metro All-Freshman Team honors in 1992-93… Averaged nine points and three assists for Team USA as the Americans claimed the gold medal at the 1995 World University Games… An eight-year NBA veteran who entered the league in 1999-00 with the Orlando Magic after playing professionally overseas three seasons (signed as a free agent Sept. 21, 1999)… Named to the Schick NBA All-Rookie Team after averaging 9.5 points and 3.7 assists-per-game in his only season with Orlando… Has played with Orlando, Detroit, Boston, Los Angeles (Lakers), Washington, Memphis, Denver and Oklahoma City ...
