USF Athletics

Opened for the 2011 season, the USF Baseball Stadium was built around Red McEwen Field, which is the home to USF baseball.

It is part of a joint complex with the equally impressive USF Softball Stadium, which it shares a concourse with.

It was part of the $35 million dollar USF Athletic District facility upgrades, which included construction of new baseball and softball stadiums, a state-of-the-art basketball facility, new football practice fields and a new soccer stadium. USF contracted design/build solution provider R.R. Simmons and global design practice specialist and the architectural firm Populous to lead the construction of the Athletics District Facilities.

The baseball stadium includes step-down team dugouts, bullpens, covered batting cages, multiple party pavilions, a press box and a 1,500-seat spectator grandstand with a shade canopy, an elevated, shaded hospitality deck and service amenities. The overall capacity of the stadium is 3,211 and is designed to accommodate additional seating that will enable USF to host NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals.

The first game at the USF Baseball Stadium was Feb. 22, 2011 against Elon in front of 3,126 in attendance. The first sellout was on March 9, 2011 when the Bulls hosted No. 1 Florida.

From I-75
Get off at the Fowler Avenue exit and head west. Turn right on Bull Run Dr. (the Museum of Science and Industry will be on the left). The USF Baseball Stadium will be on your right side.

From I-275
Get off at the Fowler Avenue exit and head east. The University is about three miles from 275. Go past the main entrance and then make a left at the next light (this will be Bull Run Drive and the Museum of Science and Industry will be on your right). The USF Baseball Stadium will be on your right side.

Parking:
Fans are allowed to park for free in the three lots around USF Baseball Stadium two hours prior to the first pitch of a baseball game. The first parking option is the large lot behind the Intercollegiate Athletics Facility, which can be reached by driving Bull Run or 50th Avenue to Elm Drive.
