The Corral

The Corral

Since 1995 The Corral has been the home of the USF volleyball team.

The Bulls' home court was built as part of a $5 million renovation to the Sun Dome (now the Yuengling Center). Prior to the 2023 season, a brand new state-of-the-art Teraflex court floor was installed in The Corral.

USF opened up The Corral during the 1995 Metro Conference Tournament and the three-day event drew a crowd of 2,288 fans.

The Bulls loved the new home atmosphere, achieving a 33-3 record at The Corral during the first two seasons including a 31-2 mark in the regular season.

In its first 10 years, USF was 118-28 at The Corral, posting an .808 winning percentage. From 1995-1997, the Bulls never lost a Conference USA match at home, spanning an impressive three straight seasons.

In 2002, The Corral locker rooms underwent a $25,000 renovation of new lockers, carpeting and a viewing area.

The following year, a new $100,000 project upgraded the volleyball coaches offices that overlooked The Corral floor. The suite included three offices, a reception area, and a conference area that opened in 2003.

The Corral spans 11,500 square feet with the bleachers retracted and 6,700 square feet with the bleachers pulled out. The capacity for The Corral is 1,000.

With the bleachers pushed back, The Corral can feature three side-by-side volleyball courts for team practices or summer camps.

The Corral has also held a number of other events including concerts, graduations, and parties.
