2016: In his third season as the team’s primary long snapper, appeared in 12 games… earned team’s Academic Excellence award after posting a 3.9 GPA in graduate classes… dependable long snapping enabled Jonathan Hernandez to rank seventh on USF’s season chart with 2,597 punting yards… made a tackle on punt coverage in the win over UCF (11/26).
2015: Earned a scholarship at the end of fall camp after walking onto the team... appeared in all 13 of the team’s games…his successful long snapping enabled punter Mattias Ciabatti to set the USF career punting yardage mark and assisted placekicker Emilio Nadelman to make 15 field goals, including his last nine in a row, and 53 of 54 PAT for 98 points..completed his second-straight season without an error on a snap...recorded one tackle.
2014: In his first season as the Bulls primary long snapper Salvato saw action in all 12 games and did not have an error on a snap…snapped for field goals, extra points and punts…Bulls had just one punt blocked when defenders pushed USF blockers back into the ball…recorded one tackle…lettered.
VICTORY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY: Played for coach Jeff Schaum...2012 team captain...first team all-county on defense as a senior...second team all-county as a specialist (snapper)....recorded 55 tackles, 9.0 sacks and four caused fumbles as a defensive lineman...second team all-county on defense as a junior...posted 102 career tackles, 15 sacks, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns...earned four letters in football.
PERSONAL: Born on March 15, 1994 in Plant City, Fla...the son of Joe and Sue Salvato.
