• Finished his career with 53 games played and 50 starts to rank tied for second all-time at USF in both categories...NFL free agent signee by the Detroit Lions.

2022: Honorable Mention All-AAC...Steve Walz Perseverance Award...started all 12 games on the season for the second-straight year and helped plow the way for Brian Battie to become just the sixth USF player to post a 1,000-yard rushing season (1,186) and log seven 100-yard games, including a record five straight...USF posted seven games of 200 or more yards rushing and ranked third in The American running for 197.92 yards per game.

2021: Named to Athlon's All-Conference Fourth Team...named a team captain...in his fourth season on the field, Cecil started all twelve of the Bulls' games at center...blocked for a rushing attack that broke the school single-game rushing record with 421 yards versus Temple (10/23)...helped Jaren Mangham finish the year tied for eighth in the NCAA in rushing touchdowns (15)...solidified the trenches vs. Florida A&M (9/18) which allowed the Bulls to rush for 241 yards in a 38-17 win.

2020: In his third season as a starter, Cecil anchored the offensive line starting the seven of the Bull's nine games he saw action in after missing the first two games of the season due to COVID-19 issues...helped Kelley Joiner Jr. and Brian Battie both run for 100-yards in the season-finale vs. UCF (11/27) as the Bulls rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns and posted 646 yards of total offense. 

2019: Started 12 games at center and helped command the offensive line…helped Jordan Cronkrite finish ninth in the AAC with 68.7 rushing yards per game…assisted in paving the way for Cronkrite to finish with three 100-yard rushing games and Kelley Joiner Jr. with one 100-yard rushing game…helped USF gain 1,936 yards rushing and 330 yards per game.

2018: Played in 10 games and started the last seven at center, anchoring a left side of a USF offensive line that featured three freshmen starters…helped Jordan Cronkrite post the ninth 1,000-yard rushing season in program history and tie the program record with five straight 100-yard rushing games…played a role in USF ranking 33rd nationally in total offense (437.7 ypg) and 43rd in rushing offense (194.0 ypg)…USF posted the fourth-most rushing yards in program season history (2,517) and fifth-most rushing touchdowns (26).

BARTRAM TRAIL HS: Ranked among the top 200 recruits in Florida and a top 20 center nationally by 247Sports…moved to center for senior season, blocking for a pair of FBS-bound quarterbacks…helped team to 11-4 record and Florida Class 7A state championship game in senior season…after junior season, was selected as a Class 7A All-State second team guard by the Associated Press. 

PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 29, 1999, in Jacksonville...son of James Cecil and Madelene Alsobrook...has two younger brothers, Blaze and Freddy, and one younger sister, Blyss...enjoys lifting weights and listening to music...also lettered in wrestling, weightlifting and track and field...majoring in pre-management...named to the Athletics Honor Roll in spring and fall of 2020, spring of 2021 and fall of 2022... 2018 , 2019, 2020 & 2021 AAC All-Academic Team...a student-athlete representative on USF’s Inclusive Excellence Committee...honored as a member of the 2023 USF Muma College of Business 25 Under 25, which recognizes both undergraduate and graduate students from all USF campuses who have demonstrated success in at least two of the following four categories: academics, leadership, professional development, and campus/community service.
