USF Athletics

A kicker who transferred to USF from Virginia in the Spring of 2023…played in 19 games for the Cavaliers and went 15-of-21 on field goals…led UVA in scoring in 2021 with 67 points (11-of-13 on field goals)…will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

2023: Handled Kickoff duties in all 12 games.

2022 (VIRGINIA): Saw action in 10 games…went 4-of-8 on field goals with a 42-yard long…three misses came from 40-plus yards including a 50-yard attempt…went 5-of-6 on PAT and scored 17 points on the year…handled all kickoffs averaging 63.1 yards per kickoff and recording 25 touchbacks in 38 attempts.

2021 (VIRGINIA): Appeared in nine of UVA’s games… went 11-of-13 on field goals on the season… field goal percentage of 84.62 was fourth best in the ACC… went 34-of-34 in PAT… averaged 1.22 field goals a game which was seventh best in the ACC… led UVA in overall scoring with 67 total points… eighth in the ACC in total points and averaged 7.44 points a game… selected for the 2021 ACC All-Academic team. 

2020 (VIRGINIA): Did not appear in any games… named to 2021 ACC Academic Honor Roll.  

2019 (VIRGINIA): Did not appear in any games…a redshirt season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played special teams as placekicker and punter at Marist School in Atlanta, Ga., for head coach Alan Chadwick … two-time Dekalb County Kicker of the Year (2017 and 2018) … all-state kicker by the Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Georgia Athletics Association … set school records with 65 kickoff for touchbacks on 70 attempts … was  11-of-17 on field goals as a senior with a long of 49 yards … was the team chaplain and voted “Most Dedicated” by the coaches … also lettered three years on the golf team and was team captain as a senior.

PERSONAL: A member of the Latin Honor Society and made honor roll all four years of high school … member of All Saints Catholic Church … son of Kathy and Tom Farrell … has a younger sister, Molly, and a younger brother, TJ … loves to golf and his handicap is around two … was born in Connecticut and has also lived in New York and Ohio.
