2018: Appeared in three games and passed for 140 yards and one touchdown…completed 15 of his 34 passes and posted a career-high eight completions against UCF (11/23)…passed for a career-best 67 yards and one touchdown at Cincinnati (11/10)…also appeared in the first game of the season against Elon (9/1).
2017: Serving as the team’s primary backup, completed seven of 11 pass attempts for 64 yards in five games with a long of 13 yards.
2016: Won the competition for USF’s backup quarterback spot in fall camp…appeared in eight games, completing 18 of 26 passes for 129 yards, two touchdowns and one interception…set career highs with two touchdown passes, 52 passing yards and a long of 23 yards in the season-opening win over Towson (9/3)…on his first collegiate play he hit D’Ernest Johnson for a 23-yard touchdown….on the next possession hit Mitchell Wilcox for a 21-yard touchdown…set career highs with six completions and seven pass attempts at Cincinnati (10/1).
ST. EDWARD HIGH SCHOOL: A three-star recruit…a dual-threat quarterback, Kean guided St. Edward, one of the top ranked programs in the nation, to a state championship and a 13-2 record as a senior…team started the 2014 season ranked No. 7 nationally and was ranked as high as No. 2...he threw for two second-half touchdowns in St. Edward’s 31-21 win against Huber Heights Wayne in the Division I state championship game in Ohio Stadium...completed 180-of-300 passes as a junior for 2,810 yards and 32 touchdowns…also ran for 11 touchdowns to total 43 touchdowns on the season…led team to an 11-2 record in his junior season, falling, 41-38, to Mentor in the Division I state semifinal game in which he passed for 343 yards and four touchdowns...started his prep career at University High School in Fort Lauderdale, transferring to St. Edwards after his sophomore season…also received offers from FIU, Western Kentucky, Ball State, Georgia State, Miami (Ohio), Ohio, Toledo, Akron, Western Michigan… Coached by Rick Finotti.
Personal: Born on Jan. 22, 1997, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla....son of Michael and Lori Kean...has a younger brother, Scott, and an older sister, Shelby...his sister currently plays soccer at Ball State University...his uncle, Marc, played baseball at Hofstra...majoring in interdisciplinary social sciences.
