Scott Spurrier

Scott Spurrier joined the USF football staff in February of 2017 as a quality control assistant for the offense.

Spurrier had previously had been part of the South Carolina football program since joining the team as a walk-on wide receiver in 2006.He spent eight seasons as a member of the Gamecocks’ football coaching staff, the final three as a full-time staff member.

Spurrier became an analyst in 2016 under head coach Will Muschamp after spending the 2014 and 2015 seasons as the quality control coordinator for the offense under former head coach Steve Spurrier.

The youngest son of the Heisman winning quarterback and hall of fame football coach, Spurrier earned his bachelor’s degree in sport and entertainment management from the University of South Carolina in 2009. Following graduation, he worked in the USC football offices as a graduate assistant until being promoted to a full-time position in 2014.

Spurrier and his wife, Jennifer, have two children.
