Sean Binckes was named tights end coach at the University of South Florida in January of 2026 joining head coach Brian Hartline’s first Bulls staff.
Binckes came to Tampa after a season working with the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders as an offensive assistant under coordinator Chip Kelly, working with the tight ends. He brings 10 years of coaching experience to the Bulls, having also worked on staffs at four university’s including, Ohio State, Temple, FIU and Nassau Community College.
BEFORE SOUTH FLORIDA
Binckes spent a season (2025) with the Las Vegas Raiders as an offensive assistant working with tight ends under offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. Raiders All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers, a former Georgia All-American, finished second on the team with 64 receptions for 680 yards and led the team with seven touchdown receptions. Fellow tight end Michael Mayer was fifth on the team with 35 catches for 328 yards and a touchdown.
Binckes joined the Ohio State football coaching staff in 2023 as a graduate assistant on the offensive side of the ball. He worked with Kelly at Ohio State and dealt specifically with tight ends.
Binckes spent the 2022 season in a similar role at Temple where he worked specifically with wide receivers. Prior to that, he was at FIU as a graduate assistant in 2020 before earning his degree and being promoted to the team’s running backs coach in 2021.
He began his coaching career at Nassau Community College as a wide receivers coach in 2016. While at Nassau, Binckes also held the title of offensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach throughout his tenure at Nassau, he moved to coaching the offensive line in 2019.

A Brooklyn, N.Y., native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Long Island University Post. He went on to receive a master’s degree in recreation and sports management from FIU.
