Biography

2020: Took an injury disqualification...stayed with the team and worked with the coaching staff the remainder of the year.

2019: Named to the Lou Groza Award watch list…played in eight games…finished the year 3-for-5 in field goal attempts…also went 19-for-21 in PAT attempts…finished third on the team with 28 points scored.

2018: A walk-on who appeared in 12 games and took over kicking duties in the Bulls’ third game of the season at Illinois...earned second team all-conference honors from Phil Steele...earned the team’s Jim & Laurie Ragsdale Outstanding Walk-on Award...made 15-of-18 field goal attempts during the year, leading the team in both categories...led the team in scoring with 80 points, the seventh-best mark in program history…made his last nine field goal attempts of the season, tying the fourth longest consecutive field goal streak in USF history...after missing his first two career attempts from 44 and 40 yards, he hit 15 of his last 16 attempts on the year...was a perfect 10-of-10 under 30 yards...ranked second in The American with 15 field goals and fourth, hitting 83.3 percent on the year, which stands as the second-best season mark in USF history...made 35-of-39 PAT... scored 16 points at UMass (10/6), the third-best game mark for a kicker in program history, going 3-for-3 on field goals and 7-of-7 on PAT...had his finger broken after a UMass player hit him on a PAT and was flagged for targeting, he made the PAT and a game-winner the following week wearing a cast...named American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 7 after hitting a 22-yard, game-winning field goal with two seconds left in a 25-24 win at Tulsa (10/12)...went 2-of-2 on field goals in the game...made field goals of 31 and 22 yards in the Gasparilla Bowl (12/20)...made at least one field goal in the Bulls’ last nine games...had four games with two or more field goals.

2017 (Tennessee State): Played in seven games…served as the kickoff specialist in four games…finished 4-for-4 in extra points…was 2-of-4 in field goals…connected on a season long 39-yarder for first collegiate field goal against Austin Peay (10/14)…made a 25-yard boot against Virginia University Lynchburg.

BUCHHOLZ HS: Earned Associated Press Class 7A First Team All-State as a placekicker as a senior for Buchholz High School in Gainesville.…named First Team All-Area by The Gainesville Sun for his play during senior season…converted 9-of-10 on field goal attempts as a senior…had a field goal long of 42 yards…made 32-of-34 extra points during the 2016 season…earned Associated Press Class 7A Second Team All-State during junior year.

PERSONAL: Born on July 25, 1998, in Gainesville, Fla....son of Michael and Julie Weiss...has an older brother, Jack, and a younger sister, Kai...was a member of the National Technical Honor Society in high school...majoring in integrative animal biology...named to the 2020 Athletics Spring Honor Roll....2019 AAC All-Academic Team.
