2016: Played in all 13 games... made his first-career start at defensive tackle at SMU (11/19) and posted a career-high eight tackles… tied his career high with one sack in the win over UCF (11/26)…forced the first fumble of his career in the win at Cincinnati (10/1)… Set career highs with 25 solo tackles, 37 total tackles while matching his previous career best of 2.0 sacks.

2015: Earned a scholarship at the conclusion of fall camp...earned a position second on the depth chart at defensive tackle.... appeared in all 13 games…recorded a total of 21 tackles (16 unassisted), 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks…posted a season-high three tackles in a win over Syracuse (10/10)…had 1.5 TFL at Florida State and 1.0 vs. Temple…recorded sacks vs. FAMU and at Florida State...earned a scholarship in fall camp...earned team’s Special Teams MVP award and Outstanding Walk-on Award.

2013 American Athletic All-Academic team

2013: Did not see playing time...earned American Athletic All-Academic team honors.

GEORGE JENKINS HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Pat Dooley at George Jenkins ... tallied 38 tackles, an INT and three fumble recoveries, while playing on the defensive line as a senior ... also was a state-ranked wrestler.

PERSONAL: Born in Queens, N.Y. ... moved to Lakeland at age 17 ... son of Samuel Awoleke ... has one brother, David, and one sister, Samina ... earned an associate’s degree at Polk State with a 3.5 grade-point average in his last semeser before enrolling at USF ... grew up in the Boys and Girls Club in Lakeland and actively volunteers with the organization.
