Biography

2021: Appeared in 5 games on the year, including two starts at running back...produced 13 carries for 40 yards and 3 receptions for 13 yards vs Florida (9/11)...rushed five times for 15 yards in the 34-14 win over Temple (10/23)

2020: Transferred to USF in December of 2019 after having his first child in September of 2019...was on campus for the 2020 spring semester and received an immediate eligibility waiver from the NCAA... had two seasons of eligibility remaining...looked strong in fall camp, but suffered an injury that lingered throughout the year and saw him compete in just three games...carried the ball 10 times for 25 yards and made three catches for 14 yards on the year...got three carries for 11 yards in the season-opening win vs. The Citadel (9/12)...did not see significant action again until the UCF game (11/27) in which he carried the ball four times for 17 yards and added three receptions for 14 yards.

2019 (Oregon): Totaled 34 carries for 197 yards and two touchdowns along with six catches for 78 yards while appearing in seven games...had a career-best 80 yards rushing and scored a touchdown in a win against Nevada (9/7)...turned in a career-long 62-yard rush against Nevada...finished with a career-best 30 yards receiving at USC (11/2)...had a touchdown in the season-opening game against Auburn (8/31).

2018 (Oregon): Played in two games before suffering a season-ending injury…rushed for 47 yards on 14 carries…opened the season with 38 rushing yards against Bowling Green (9/1)…accounted for two first downs and one run of 10-plus yards...redshirt season.

2017 (Oregon): Saw action in nine games…rushed 30 times for 182 yards and one touchdown…scored a touchdown in his collegiate debut against California…averaged 6.1 yards per carry and wasn’t stopped for a loss on any of his 30 carries…accounted for eight first downs on the ground and had six runs of 10-plus yards...rushed for 156 of his 182 yards in the fourth quarter…vs. Cal (9/30) he totaled 27 yards on five carries, highlighted by an 11-yard TD run in the fourth quarter…vs. No. 11 Washington State (10/17) he broke a 15-yard run on his first carry of the game…at No. 23 Stanford (10/14) his lone carry went for 17 yards…at UCLA (10/21) he had a 31-yard kickoff return in the third quarter while adding 30 yards on the ground on seven carries…first two rushes of the UCLA game went for 13 and 10 yards…at No. 12 Washington (11/4) he rushed for a season-high 43 yards on eight carries…vs. Arizona (11/18) he took his first carry of the game 34 yards and finished with 39 yards on four carries.

PERSONAL:  Transferred from Oregon back to Florida to be closer to his 2-year-old daughter, Dailyn Nicole, who lives with her mother in Fort Myers...Felix is seventh in a lineup of 10 boys on his father’s side (James Felix Sr.)...three of his brothers are named James...the order: Jordan, James, James, Corbett, James, Jermy, Darrian, Dorrian, Jaheim, Jarell.
