2013: Began the season at right guard, starting two games at Michigan State and vs. FAU, before changing his number to 96 and shifting positions and seeing action at tight end and fullback the rest of the season…started six games total on the year and saw action in 10 games…started at tight end vs. Cincinnati, Louisville and Memphis…started at fullback at UCF…made his first career reception on an 11-yard catch for a first down on the Bulls first touchdown drive at Houston…carried the ball one time for one yard on the year…served as an agile 316-pound lead blocker for the Bulls…finished his career with eight career starts and playing in 12 career games in his two-year career at USF. 

2012: Saw action in two games, starting one, along the offensive line ... earned the first start of his career at Cincinnati.

MERCED COLLEGE: Coached by Bob Casey at Merced ... redshirted in 2011 after playing offensive tackle at Merced in 2010 ... a first-team Region II All-California selection ... also named first-team All-Golden Gate Conference ... played in 10 games at Georgia Military College in 2009.

SEABREEZE HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Marc Beach and Mike Austin at Seabreeze ... a three-year letterman in both football and basketball at Seabreeze ... a third-team all-state and all-area selection ... voted team captain as a senior ... also competed in basketball, earning all-state, all-area and all-county honors ... led the team in assists and rebounds in each of his three seasons ... also a three-year team captain.

PERSONAL: Born in Daytona Beach, Fla. ... son of Wanda Simmons ... earned degree in criminology in December 2013.
