2018 All-AAC Honorable Mention
A three-year starter at cornerback for the Bulls, Hampton earned All-AAC honorable mention honors in 2018 and started 33 games on his career...in 2018 he ranked second in the conference and ninth nationally with 18 passes defended (1.4 per game), which ranks as the second-most in USF history, just one shy of the season mark...for his career, he logged 137 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, 28 pass break-ups and 30 passes defended.
2020: Started all nine of the Bulls' games on the year at cornerback...posted 33 tackles, four pass break-ups and a fumble recovery on the year...posted a tackle and fumble recovery in the season-opening win over The Citadel (9.12)...posted a season-high nine tackles at Cincinnati (10/3)...had five tackles at Temple (10/17) and vs. UCF (11/27)...declared for the NFL Draft at the conclusion of the season.
2019: Started all 12 games at cornerback…totaled 50 tackles and six pass breakups…had two tackles for loss for a combined loss of 4 yards…recorded a season-high three pass breakups at UConn (10/5)…had multiple tackles in 10 games…recorded a career-high eight tackles at UConn (10/5) and vs. Memphis (11/23)…made a tackle for a loss of 3 yards at East Carolina (10/26).

2017: Totaled 11 tackles (nine solo) and two pass breakups while playing in all 12 games (one start)…tied his career high with three tackles against Texas Tech in the Birmingham Bowl (12/23)...started the season opener against San Jose State (8/26), finishing with three tackles and a pass breakup...saw extensive action on special teams.

HILLSBOROUGH HS: Rated as a three-star recruit by ESPN, Scout, Rivals and 247Sports…also received offers from Alcorn State, FIU, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Marshall, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Temple, Virginia…played for Earl Garcia at Hillsborough High School in Tampa…named to the Florida Class 6A All-State Team…named to the Tampa Tribune’s 2015 All-Hillsborough County First Team after intercepting six passes and posting 37 tackles (25 solo)...earned team’s Defensive Player of the Year award...two-year team captain...also caught 11 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns as a senior…named to the 2015 All-Western Conference First Team (Hillsborough County Public Schools), voted on by the school district’s varsity coaches… named a Tampa Tribune 2014 All-Hillsborough County honorable mention…as a junior, made 51 tackles (33 solo) with four interceptions and seven pass breakups...also caught 30 passes for 591 yards with three touchdowns in 2014...four-year letterman.
PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 8, 1997 in Tampa...son of Katrina Platt and Michael Hampton...cousin of Najeh Davenport, who played at the University of Miami and with the NFL’s Packers and Colts...uncle, Eugene Hampton, played at Troy University...has three younger brothers, Markeith, Miyon and Jayden, and a younger sister, Morgan...hobbies include riding jet skis, fishing and playing Madden... a 2020 spring graduate in criminology and a member of the 2020 Athletics Spring Honor Roll.Â
