• Trillion Tropical Bowl Selection

Transferred from Florida to USF in Spring of 2023 after earning his bachelor’s degree at UF in the Fall of 2022…played in four seasons and 33 games with four starts at Florida, logging 189 carries for 753 yards and five touchdowns rushing and making 35 receptions for 415 yards and a touchdown.


2024: Selected to compete in the Trillion Tropical Bowl...second on the team running 109 times for 510 yards and eight touchdowns...also caught 22 passes for 149 yards and returned three kickoffs for 43 yards...posted three tackles on the year...ran seven times for 19 yards and a touchdown and caught a pass for 10 yards vs. B-CU (8/31)…ran 11 times for 66 yards and registered three passes for 11 yards at Alabama (9/7)…ran 15 times for 112 yards and a touchdown, including a 33-yard long rush, and hauled in three receptions for 11 yards at Southern Miss (9/14)…ran six times for 11 yards and caught one pass for a yard against Miami (9/21)…ran seven times for 38 yards at Tulane (9/28)...ran the ball two times for a gain of three yards and hauled in two passes for seven yards against Memphis (10/8)…ran nine times for 24 yards and caught one pass for three yards against UAB (10/19)...ran 17 times for 121 yards and one touchdown, including a 64-yard long run, and hauled in two passes for 12 yards at FAU (11/1)…ran three times for 10 yards and caught two passes for 10 yards against Navy (11/9)…ran seven times for 43 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 50 yards, including a 44 yard long reception, at Charlotte (11/16)...rushed 14 times for 31 yards and one touchdown and hauled in two passes for 12 yards against Tulsa (11/23)…rushed six times for 35 yards and a touchdown at Rice (11/30)...scored the opening touchdown of the Hawai‘i Bowl (12/24) on a three yard carry and logged 16 yards rushing and 22 yards receiving on three catches in the game.

2023: Athlon Preseason All-AAC Fourth Team...started all 13 games...finished season with three games of 100+ rushing yards and career highs in every rushing category, logging 180 carries for 797 yards on the ground and eight rushing touchdowns, to go along with eight receptions for 23 yards...posted 17 carries for 111 yards to mark his first career 100-yard game in the opener at WKU (9/2)...ran for over 100 yards for the second time vs FAU (10/14) when he logged 106 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, including a then career-long 41-yard run...went for over 100 yards for the second consecutive week in a career day at UCONN (10/21), tallying career-highs in rushing yards (186), carries (26), and rushing touchdowns ...Wright had over 100 yards by halftime largely thanks to a career-long 47-yard run...ran the ball 11 times for 31 yards and one touchdown at Memphis (11/4).....picked up 67 yards on 16 carries and one TD at UTSA (11/17)...ran the ball 12 times for 43 yards and a 2-yard touchdown against Syracuse in the Boca Raton Bowl (12/21).

2022 (FLORIDA): Appeared in seven games with four starts…finished the season with 47 rushes for 190 yards and two TD...recorded three rushes for 15 yards vs. South Carolina (11/12)…recorded 5 rushes for 22 yards vs. Missouri (10/8)…recorded seven rushes for 27 yards and a TD, with one reception for 14 yards vs. Eastern Washington (10/2)…recorded eight rushes for 26 yards at Tennessee (9/24)…recorded six rushes for 37 yards and a TD vs. USF (9/17)… recorded eight rushes for 24 yards vs. Kentucky (9/10)… recorded 10 rushes for 41 yards vs. Utah (9/3).

2021 (FLORIDA): Saw action in 12 games, posting 76 carries for 326 yards and one TD on the ground, with a long of 34 yards…added 14 receptions for 178 yards and one TD with a 51-yard long…rushed for 18 yards on seven carries with two receptions for two yards against Florida State (11/27)…Carried for 22 yards on eight attempts against Missouri (11/20)…Rushed for 47 yards on eight attempts and had two receptions for 53 yards and a TD against Samford (11/13)…Rushed for 23 yards on seven attempts and had one reception for five yards against Georgia (10/30)…Carried for 34 yards on eight attempts and had one reception against LSU (10/16)…Rushed for 46 yards on seven attempts and had two receptions for 57 yards against Vanderbilt (10/9)…Rushed for seven yards on five attempts against Kentucky (10/2)…Rushed for 32 yards and one TD on seven attempts, and had one reception for 13 yards against Tennessee (9/25)…Carried for a career-high 58 yards on seven attempts and registered a career-long rush of 30 yards against Alabama (9/18)…logged seven carries for a total of 36 yards against South Florida (9/11)…Recorded three carries for a total of five yards in Florida’s season opener against Florida Atlantic (9/4)...named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. 

2020 (FLORIDA): Appeared in nine games... finished third on the team with 46 carries for 158 yards and one TD...reeled in 14 catches for 179 yards (12.8 avg.), including a long of 50 yards...scored his first career TD on the road at Texas A&M (10/10), and added a team-high 31 yards on six carries and a 26-yard reception...Caught his first career pass for 25 yards in season opener at Ole Miss (9/26)...named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2019 (FLORIDA): Earned a redshirt after appearing in three games (UT Martin, Towson, and Vanderbilt)...recorded 24 rushing yards on 12 attempts and caught one pass for four yards…his lone reception came during his debut in the home opener against UT Martin (9/7), in which he also recorded 13 rushing yards on seven carries... named to 2019-20 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

CAROL CITY HS: Helped Carol City HS win the 2016 FHSAA Class 6A State Championship, tallying 109 yards and scoring two TD in the state title game... early in the 2018 season he rushed for 163 yards and a TD in a win over American Heritage, ending the Patriots’ 28-game winning streak...helped Carol City reach the 2018 FHSAA Class 6A Regional Semifinals...played in the 2017 FHSAA Class 6A Regional Championship...combined for 1,793 rushing yards and 19 TD, along with 141 yards and a TD on 13 receptions in his freshman and sophomore seasons...played for coach Benedict Hyppokite...chose to attend Florida out of high school over offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Tennessee, among others.

PERSONAL: Earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida in the Fall of 2022…earned his Master’s degree from USF in the Spring of 2024...a two-time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll selection (2020-21)…earned SEC First-Year Academic Roll (2019)...named to the Athletics Honor Roll in the Spring of 2024...survived a shooting on a playground as a child.
