Promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Football Operations in 2022 after serving as Director of Football Operations since 2019, Albert Boone joined the USF football program in June 2016 as a player personnel assistant. He was promoted to Director of On-Campus Recruiting in April 2017 before assuming operations duties.

In his position, Boone manages all operations of the football program including operating budget, team travel, event and practice schedules and the day-to-day operations of the program.

In his positions prior to taking over as director of operations, Boone was responsible for prospect film evaluation, assisting with unofficial visits, database management, and projecting positional needs based on roster evaluation.

From 2012 to 2016, Boone was a compliance coordinator for Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) in Orlando. He implemented background screening procedures for all adults who participated in AAU activities. Boone also created guideline tools for the development of youth sports coaches including the Youth Protection Handbook. He assisted with the creation and approval of promotional materials, including flyer and email blasts, for AAU sanctioned events. Boone also educated volunteer leaders on the duties associated with the responsibilities to the National Office.

Boone previously was the Director of Player Personnel at UCF from 2009 to 2011. He managed the overall recruiting process for the Knights' football program, scheduling and planning official and non-official visits. Boone's 2011 recruiting class was ranked 1st in Conference USA and 39thnationally (the highest ranking for a non-automatic qualifying BCS school). Wide receiver Breshad Perriman was a member of the renowned 2011 class and was selected in the first round, 26thoverall pick, of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. Boone also had similar success with his 2010 recruiting class as quarterback Blake Bortles was the third overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and safety Clayton Geathers was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the fourth round 10th pick (109th overall).

Boone earned his bachelor's degree in business-marketing from Florida State in 2003. A native of Houston, Texas, Albert and his wife, Crystal, have a daughter, Londyn, and son, Langston.Â
