Benjamin “Ben” Steib serves as the Assistant Director of Football Equipment Operations at USF, a position he began in January 2026. In this role, he oversees all aspects of football equipment operations, bringing extensive experience from both collegiate and professional football. Steib began his career at Louisiana Tech University as a student manager from 2017 to 2021, where he held multiple roles including Helmet Decaling Supervisor, Ball Room Coordinator, Truck Loading Coordinator, Game Locker Room Setup Coordinator, Coach Communication System Operator, Jersey Seamster, Lead Offensive Student for four seasons, and Student Staff Manager for one season.

He also gained professional experience with the Baltimore Ravens as a Training Camp Intern in 2019 and with the New Orleans Saints from 2021 to 2025 as Assistant Equipment Manager, Uniform Coordinator, Practice Jersey Coordinator, Coach-to-Player Coordinator, Shoulder Pad and Protective Equipment Coordinator, Coach’s Headset Coordinator, Game and Practice Football Coordinator, and as a member of the NFL Coach-to-Player Committee.

Steib earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
