Cody Hopkins was named the Bulls’ assistant strength and conditioning coach in the Spring of 2023.
Prior to arriving at USF, Hopkins spent the 2022 season as a developmental performance quality control analyst for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While a Cornhusker, Hopkins oversaw the training of primary skill and big skill positions.
Hopkins served as a paid strength and conditioning intern at the University of South Dakota, where he primarily worked with football, volleyball, swimming, and diving.
Prior to this time at South Dakota, Hopkins joined Dave Andrew's staff as an intern at Iowa State University. While in Ames, he assisted in the training of one of the most successful classes in Cyclone history.
Hopkins began his coaching career at Florida State University as an intern. While in Tallahassee, he worked with Seminole Football under the guidance of the director of strength & conditioning, Josh Storms.
Originally from Tekamah, Neb., Hopkins attended Wayne State College (Neb.) and graduated with a degree in exercise science and a minor in coaching. He also played fullback for Wildcat Football.
