Terry was named assistant director of player development for South Florida football in June 2024.
In his role, he assists Jeff Jones in the development and growth of the Bulls in community and campus engagement, leadership augmentation, and off-the-field skill sets necessary for success in life after their time at South Florida. Specifically, Terry oversees the programs community outreach initiatives and assists in tracking and verification of player attendance.
Before joining the Bulls, Terry served as the director of football operations at the University of West Alabama (2020-2023) for four seasons. At West Alabama, he handled the day-to-day operations of the Tiger’s program, planned player and staff schedules, coordinated team travel, organized official visits, supervised various fundraising ventures, oversaw the football budget, and managed alumni relations. Terry also served as the liaison between the football program and athletic administration.
Terry came to West Alabama from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2019), where he joined the Yellow Jacket’s staff as an operations coordinator in 2019.
A four-year football letter winner at Temple University (1999-2002), Terry went on to serve as the offensive and defensive line coach at West Charlotte High School (2015-2016) for two seasons. In addition to his on-field coaching duties at West Charlotte, Terry was the team’s academic liaison and eligibility/compliance coordinator.
He also previously served as a behavior modification technician for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District.
Prior to entering education and coaching, Terry held various roles in the private sector with LGA Executive Services, US Airways, and UPS. He also worked as a personal trainer and member services specialist in the fitness industry.
Terry graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s of business administration degree in human resource management and a minor in accounting.
He has a son named, Kaeleb.
