Jordan Diaz

Jordan Diaz joined the USF Football Strength and Conditioning staff in March 2021 following three seasons working with the Arizona State football program.

A former fullback at the University of South Carolina (2012-2014), Diaz came to USF after serving as the Assistant Head Coach for Football Sports Performance since 2020.

Diaz joined the Arizona State strength staff under coach Herm Edwards in January of 2018 and served as an assistant football sports performance coach under head football sports performance coach Joe Connolly for two seasons before being promoted to assistant head coach for his last season with the team.

Prior to his time in Tempe, Diaz spent a year in the private sector as a performance coach at Kalinowski Performance Academy and New Jersey Athletic Club.

Prior to his time in the private sector, Diaz spent time as a graduate assistant at his alma mater the University of South Carolina. Diaz served as a graduate assistant under head football sports performance coach Joe Connolly during the 2015 season before later being oversaw by head strength and conditioning coach Jeff Dillman in 2016. As a graduate assistant at South Carolina, he worked with the Gamecocks football program as well as the men’s and women’s track and field programs.

Diaz, who originally joined the Gamecocks as a walk-on, was a two-year football letterman at South Carolina from 2012-2014, playing linebacker as an underclassmen before transitioning to full back his last two seasons. He was a two-time academic honor roll member and graduated with a degree in exercise science in 2014. He later earned a master’s degree in human performance and nutrition from Logan University in 2017.
