Ryland Powell joined the Head Coach Alex Golesh's first staff at USF as the assistant director of on-campus recruiting. After two highly-successful recruiting cycles, she was promoted to director of on-campus recruiting in February of 2025.

"Ryland has been a big part of our success in recruiting over the last two years, has a tremendous work ethic, and has been integral in elevating the manner in which we host prospects on our campus to an elite level," Golesh said. "I'm excited to see her take the next step in her career and lead our on-campus recruiting team."

Powell served as the assistant director of on-campus recruiting during her first two years, helping USF secure classes in 2024 and 2025 that both ranked among the very best outside the autonomous four conferences. USF's 2024 class was ranked No. 1 in the American Athletic Conference and among all non-autonomous four conference teams, while the 2025 class was ranked second among both.
