2021: Made two appearances in his first season at USF...tossed one inning of relief against FGCU (2/20) and Texas Tech (3/26)...recorded a strikeout in each of those outings.

PRIOR TO USF: Previously played for Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Ill. … Made five appearances (four in relief) for Lincoln Trail in 2020, going 1-2 with 17 strikeouts and 18 walks in 13.1 innings. … Member of the Dean’s List and honor roll… Started his college career at Purdue, redshirted in 2018 and went 0-0 with 12 strikeouts in 11.2 innings (eight appearances) in 2019.

HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Dan Ambrose at Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis and graduated in 2017… Helped Heritage Christian to IHSAA Class 2A sectional titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017… Named first team all-state in 2017 and was selected in the 30^th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves… Earned three varsity letters in baseball and three more in basketball.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 14, 1998 in Des Moines, Iowa… Son of Kristi and Brad Wynja… Has three younger brothers named Hunter, Max and Logan, along with three younger sisters named Grace, Bella and Harper… Father, Brad, played baseball and competed in track and field at Central College… Mother, Kristi, also competed in track and field at Central College… Also received scholarship offers from USC Upstate, Radford, Toledo, Ball State, Murray State, UNC Asheville, UNC Charlotte, Indiana and Indiana State… Majoring in communications… Enjoys fishing.
