PRIOR TO USF
Was a member of the football and track and field team at Weber State as a freshman... Played for coach Rick Darlington at Apopka High School for football and Sheila Taylor for track and field... Was the state runner-up in the 100 meters and finished the year 15th in the country... Was state champion in the 4x100m relay... Was named one of the athletes of the year by the Orlando Sentinel.
