Michael Bowden

Michael Bowden enters his second year on the University of South Florida women's basketball staff as video coordinator. Bowden will be responsible for coordinating the video exchange with this year's opponents, in addition to filming and breaking down game and practice film during the season.

Bowden comes to USF after spending one season (2008-09) at Conference USA member Tulsa, where he served as the women's basketball video coordinator and head manager.

Prior to his time with the Golden Hurricane, Bowden, 26, served as the Assistant Player Development Intern at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where he worked primarily with NBA, collegiate and international basketball players on the court with offensive skill development.
 
Before his stint at IMG, Bowden was a volunteer manager with the University of Florida men's basketball team for the 2007-08 season. He assisted with the preparation of scouting reports, prepared shot charts for practices, and coached individual and team summer camps. Bowden also worked with the Florida women's basketball team for four seasons, 2004-08, as a member of the scout team, and assisted coaches in film breakdown and scouting reports.

Bowden worked three summers with the Clifford Ray & Robert Parrish Big Man Camp (2006-08), and with the Pete Newell Big Man Camp in 2007. With those camps, he assisted with on-the-court instruction and demonstrated post moves during skill development.

Bowden received his bachelor's degree in physical education with a concentration in coaching from Florida in 2008.
