Whitting joined the Bulls for the 2019-20 season as a redshirt junior transfer from Rogers State University.
SPRING 2021: Played in all five tournaments…third on the team with a 75.93 scoring average…shot par or better twice…season-best score (218) and finish (T13th) at the FAU Paradise Invitational where she carded a season-low round of 69 to open the event.
SPRING 2020: Spring 2020 grad... AAC All-Academic Team... Member of USF Athletics Honor Roll... Ranked second on the team with three top-25 finishes in seven total events this season, and third in scoring average (76.19)... Top finish of the spring was a tie for 11th place at the Old Friends Invitational (Feb. 18) and helped host USF post a 20-shot, wire-to-wire win at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club... Tied for 19th place at the Florida State Match-Up (March 1)... Was in the lineup for all 21 of the team's rounds this season.
FALL 2019: Tied for the team lead with one top-10 finish after tying for 10th place with a 2-over 218 at the Lady Paladin Invitational (Sept. 29), where she tied for the best par-3 scoring average in the 90-player field (2.83, -2) and led the Bulls with 11 total birdies... Posted a 75.8 scoring average and ranked second on the team with two rounds of par or better... Competed in all 12 of USF’s rounds.
ROGERS STATE: 2018-19: Posted a 74.5 season scoring average as a sophomore...
2017-18: Garnered All-American honors by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, becoming the first All-American in the history of the RSU women's golf program...Named to the WGCA West All-Region Team...Selected as the Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year and All-Heartland Conference...Paced the Hillcats with a 75.11 scoring average in 27 rounds during the season...Totaled two tournament victories at the St. Edward's Invitational and Hillcat Classic...Added six top-five finishes in 12 events during her freshman campaign...Set a school record with a score of 67 during her final round at the St. Edward's Invitational to surge to the tournament win...Placed 12th overall at the NCAA Division II Women's Super Regional during regional competition...
2016-17: Took a redshirt during her first season in the navy and red.
HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIOR GOLF: Graduated from Frederick Irwin Anglican in 2015...Finished with a decorated junior career in Australia, winning the Western Australian Amateur Championship and Western Australian Junior Match Play...Clinched the match play win with an 8-and-6 performance in the championship...Picked up victories at the Goldfields Junior Open and Melville Glades Junior event two straight seasons...Received the Endeavour Award all eight semesters of her prep career.
PERSONAL: Born Jan. 19, 1998 in Perth, Australia... Daughter of Marisa and Glen Whitting... Has two older brothers, Lee and Zac... Hobbies include watching sports, boxing and going to the beach... Received a bachelor's degree in economics in spring 2020.
