Logan Burgess Hayes was named assistant coach on head coach
Cristina Moros's South Florida women's tennis staff in June of 2023.
Hayes came to USF after spending the 2022-23 season as a graduate assistant at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
Prior to joining UIW, Hayes was a volunteer assistant coach at Kansas State where he helped the Wildcats to a No. 28 national ranking and a top 25 recruiting class.
A native of Brighton, England, Hayes was a four-year letter winner for the men's tennis program at the University of Illinois-Springfield. At UIS, he compiled identical records in singles and doubles play, going 45-36. As a senior, he finished 11-12 in singles, primarily playing in the No. 2 spot, and was 14-9 in doubles action.
In his senior year, he contributed to the best season in UIS' program history, as the team went 13-5 and achieved national (No.36) and regional (No. 8) rankings for the first time during the NCAA era.
Hayes competed in Europe before attending UIS, achieving a No. 1744 ITF ranking. On the ITF Tour, Hayes recorded victories at the Brighton Winter Open, Woodford Wells Open and Devonshire Park Open, which accumulated to a 2.1 rating in the British National System.
