Antwaine Richardson joined the South Florida football staff in January of 2026 as assistant stars coach on Brian Hartline’s first Bulls staff.

He came to USF after serving as a defensive analyst at Auburn (2025) and as a graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech (2024).

Richardson played safety in college and recorded 129 tackles over his career. He finished his playing career at Kent State after spending five seasons at Maryland.

He played two seasons for Kent State (2021-22), playing in nine games and posting 42 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss.

At Maryland, he played in 30 games across four seasons (2016-20) and posted 90 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, four pass break-ups an interception and a fumble recovery.

A native of Delray Beach, Fla., he played for Atlantic High School and was a Palm Beach Post Super 11 selection as a high school senior.
