Chase Campbell joined Chris Mack’s first South Florida staff as strength and conditioning coach in April of 2026.
 
He came to Tamp after a year working as strength and conditioning coach for Ed Carpenter Racing (ECR) on the Indy car circuit.
 
Prior to that, he spent two seasons as head men’s basketball strength and conditioning coach and director of high performance at Providence (2023-25). In that role, Campbell oversaw the performance staff and all three training facilities. He led the initiative to bring the highest level of comprehensive performance testing, monitoring, and data driven programming to all the student-athletes. Through the combination of new technology and time-tested training principles, Campbell and his staff provided every athlete high-level performance training. 
 
Prior to Providence, he spent a year as director of business development for PLAE (2022-23), a developer of next-generation athletic performance solutions.
 
He spent two seasons as head strength and conditioning coach for basketball at Xavier (2021-23), helping the 2021-22 team win the NIT championship.
 
Campbell arrived at Xavier from the NBA’s Orlando Magic, where he served as strength and conditioning coach for the 2020-21 season, designing and implementing individualized training programs in conjunction with medical and sports science staff.
 
Prior to landing in Orlando, Campbell spent two years from 2018-20 as the director of men’s basketball performance at the University of Rhode Island, directing all aspects of the year-round athletic performance training and testing for the men’s basketball team. He also coordinated the implementation of a performance nutrition and education program for the Rams.
 
Campbell spent two years from 2016-18 as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. During that time, he spent the 2016-17 season as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Butler University, working primarily with softball, tennis and swimming but also assisting with the implementation of training and testing programs for men’s basketball.
 
Prior to Butler, Campbell served at nearby Miami University as assistants strength and conditioning coach, working with a number of sports including men’s and women’s basketball.
 
Campbell, who is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), is a 2013 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in exercise science. He earned his master’s degree in sports performance from Ball State in 2015.
 
In addition to his academic credentials, Campbell secured intern positions with Ball State, the Indiana Pacers and Vanderbilt University prior to accepting his first full-time position at Miami in 2015.
