Craig Dickinson

Craig Dickinson begins his fourth year as a volunteer coach at the University of South Florida working with the vertical jumps and distance squad. Prior to USF, Coach Dickinson was the head cross country and track and field coach at St. Clair County Community College. Before coaching at the collegiate level, Coach Dickinson was the head track and field coach at Port Huron Northern High School for 27 years as well as the head cross country coach for eight years.

During the three seasons he was at St. Clair County Community College, Coach Dickinson’s team qualified for the NJCAA Cross Country Nationals three times on the men’s side and twice with the women’s team. Three of his athletes were named All American. While coaching at the high school level in Michigan, Coach Dickinson had 7 state champions and 38 all state performances.

Prior to coaching, Coach Dickinson competed for the University of Tennessee. While competing for the Vols, he was part of 8 team SEC championships. Individually, Coach Dickinson earned 8 All SEC honors and won the 3,000 meters indoor and distance medley relay indoors. In 1984, Coach Dickinson was named All American in the 3,000 meters.
